15th and 16th June, Compiègne University of Technology
We are pleased to announce that the first Workshop on Uncertainty in Machine Learning (WUML) will take place in Compiègne, during the 15th and 16th June. It will be held in the Compiègne University of Technology.
The major aim of the workshop is to stimulate discussion on ongoing research, very recent developments and challenging open problems regarding the treatment of uncertainty in machine learning. Each of the two days of the workshop will consist of presentations covering a specific topic, while also leaving ample time for discussion.
The first day will be devoted to the treatment of uncertain (e.g., missing, noisy, imprecise, …) data in the learning and inference process, while the second day will be devoted to uncertainty in the learned model and in the predictions (e.g., rejection strategies, indeterminate predictions, using sets of models, …).
A gala dinner will also take place on the night of the first day.
Everyone (PhD students as well as senior researchers) is welcome to participate and/or to present their views on these problems! We welcome any stimulating contribution, ranging from a presentation to a short informal statement. If you want to participate, please go to the registration page. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information. There will be no registration fee, so participants only have to cover the cost of their travel.
